The seventh Taunus Crime Movie based on the novel „Die Lebenden und die Toten“ by Nele Neuhaus

A series of murders with victims, that at first seem completely unrelated, puts huge pressure on the detectives from K11 Hofheim. Three people are killed by a sniper in Taunus and stories of the “Taunus Sniper” soon begin to circulate in the media. Fear and unrest spread amongst the local population.

The sniper appears to be a highly strategic killer. Pressure continues to mount on Oliver von Bodenstein and Pia Kirchhoff. Meanwhile, Andreas Neff, the profiler from the State Office of Criminal Investigation, who is ordered to assist, yet prefers to work alone, is less than helpful.

No connection is established between the murders – until the detectives discover that it is not those who have been shot, but rather their relatives who are the real victims. Oliver von Bodenstein’s team dig ever deeper into the complex web of debt and revenge – and in doing so inch ever closer to revealing a very real medical scandal.
