The third Taunus Crime Movie based on the novel „Mordsfreunde“ by Nele Neuhaus

A human hand is found in the elephant compound at Kronberg Opel Zoo. Further body parts are gradually found scattered across the zoo.  They relate to the death of the secondary school teacher Hans-Ulrich Pauly.

The investigation conducted by Pia Kirchhoff and Oliver von Bodenstein reveals that the militant animal rights’ activist Pauly, who appears to have been beaten to death with a horseshoe, had many enemies – notably three former fellow students of his; namely zoo director Christoph Sander, businessman Carsten Bock and gourmet food caterer Franz Josef Conradi.

Pauly was only popular amongst a group of young people: He had formed a close friendship with the children of his three former and now hated friends. Why did Pauly form this friendship? The young police inspector Pia Kirchhoff investigates the clique of youngsters – not knowing that she is putting herself in grave danger as a result.
